St. Michael's Monastery - one of the oldest monasteries in Kiev. Includes destroyed in 1930 and re-built in the mid-1990s, the cathedral church in honor of the Archangel Michael in the Ukrainian Baroque style, as well as the refectory of the Church of St. John the Divine (1713), and the belfry (1716-1719 years). The monastery is located on the right bank of the Dnieper River on the edge of a bluff northeast of the St. Sophia Cathedral.
