Nestled in the rugged landscape of Dartmoor there is a small village called Widecombe-in-the-moor it is steeped in a rich culture, the church is the centrepiece of the community, the church which is called St Pancras was built in the 14th century, in the Great Thunderstorm of 1638 the church was struck by what was thought to be a ball of lightning, this killed 4 of the congregation and injured 60 more.
