Bo Vilmos Widerberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden in November of 1971. His father, Bo S. Widerberg, founded the photography studio Atelje Weloks with Ulf Tingstrom in 1969, thus
beginning a series of events which would make cameras and photography an ever-present influence during Bo's formative years. Canon 35mm cameras became the tool of choice, although Bo also toyed with medium format and subminiature, before transitioning to Canon digital equipment.
