Is invaluable ceramic decoration of the Basilica, from the sixteenth to the twentieth. Because she has become known as the "Sistine Chapel of Spanish ceramics." The decorative ceramic sockets inside the aisles dates from the seventeenth century, when Talavera pottery which enjoys high reputation nationally and in the American colonies. In the Gospel side, the tiles represent the genealogy of Christ, while in the Epistle side depict scenes from the life of the Virgin. Some of the designs have been linked by experts with learners of El Greco, for the stylized features and expressions of the characters portrayed. Other valuable panels, the sixteenth century, come from the former church of St. Anton. Stresses the great altarpiece of ceramics decorating the right side of the chancel.
