- Oxygen saturation is a term referring to the concentration of oxygen in the blood. The human body requires and regulates a very precise and specific balance of oxygen in the blood. Normal blood oxygen levels in humans are considered 95-100 percent. If the level is below 90 percent, it is considered low resulting in hypoxemia.
- The arteries are the blood vessels that deliver oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the tissues of the body. Each artery is a muscular tube lined by smooth tissue and has three layers: The intima, the inner layer lined by a smooth tissue called endothelium The media, a layer of muscle that lets arteries handle the high pressures from the heart The adventitia, connective tissue anchoring arteries to nearby tissues
- Lymph is the fluid that circulates throughout the lymphatic system. The lymph is formed when the interstitial fluid (the fluid which lies in the interstices of all body tissues) is collected through lymph capillaries. It is then transported through lymph vessels to lymph nodes before emptying ultimately into the right or the left subclavian vein, where it mixes back with blood.
- A vein is an elastic blood vessel that transports blood from various regions of the body to the heart .
- In humans the kidneys are located in the abdominal cavity, more specifically in the para vertebral gutter and lie in a retro peritoneal position at a slightly oblique angle.
- The Circulatory System is responsible for transporting materials throughout the entire body. It transports nutrients, water, and oxygen to your billions of body cells and carries away wastes such as carbon dioxide that body cells produce.
- The skeletal nervous system consists of the bones in the skeleton, the muscles attached to them, and the nervous system that controls the movements of both. The skeleton is essentially a system of rods and hinges. The skeleton cannot move without the muscles attached to them that constrict and release creating movement. Neither can the muscles and bones move without the nervous system's control. The skeletal nervous system works only as well as the bones, muscles, and nervous system work together.

- The heart is situated in the middle of the chest beneath the breastbone in the mediastinum, at the level of T5-T8.
